aimless purple flowers
purple flowers along the bay area freeways. reminds me years ago, my dad's death. flying to the funeral, on the way to the airport, i saw these bright and numerous purple flowers along the freeway. in full bloom.
every year, i see this natural and beautiful reminder of dad's anniversary.
i think about my dad's life, my own life.
no great grudge to avenge, no worthy challenge to meet, no greater meaning to understand. we do what we do, in our smart, educated and capable ways. day in day out. so post industrial revolution, so modern. so aimless.
